Ding Yuxi’s highly anticipated XICREATE ft.X two-night concert residency successfully took place at Phoenix Stadium, Xiamen Olympic Sports Center on August 15–16, 2026. All 23,400 tickets for each show were fully sold out.

Marking a vital milestone in his music career, the tour stop fulfilled a heartfelt promise: bringing his character Zhang Haixia from The Southern Archives “back home to Xiacheng”. Ding Yuxi performed beloved OSTs including Answer and Old Stories of the South, offering fans a touching and memorable farewell to the role.

The most talked-about highlight was the innovative integration of Gaojia Opera, a national-level intangible cultural heritage of Minnan region. Artists from Xiamen Jinliansheng Gaojia Opera Troupe joined the opening alongside the powerful anthem Chinese People. Stunning stage visuals featuring Xiamen landmarks blended traditional opera chants, rhythmic gongs and drums with modern lighting, bridging centuries-old folk art and contemporary pop culture.

Following the concept of “one unique heritage for each city”, Ding featured Sichuan tea art at his Chengdu concert and now showcases Minnan Gaojia Opera in Xiamen. Instead of simply adding opera as a separate performance segment, the troupe’s movements and lines were seamlessly woven into the whole live narrative, allowing traditional art to resonate with young audiences.

Staged on a four-sided arena, Ding delivered a full live vocal set throughout both nights. He treated fans to classics such as Blessing, Ferry Love, Road of Blooming Phoenix Flowers, alongside his original hits Fading Dialogue and Stare in Silence. He also treated the crowd to a Minnan-language song Hou Jia, taught local greetings and recommended Xiamen’s signature delicacies. The artist even performed How — a track cut from the Chengdu show due to rehearsal constraints — winning warm applause from the audience.
Supported by Xiamen Culture and Tourism Bureau as part of the “Luda Art Series”, the concert became a powerful cultural exchange. Thousands of young fans experienced authentic Minnan heritage within the immersive live music setting, helping Gaojia Opera break through to a younger generation.
No further concert dates have been officially announced yet. Fans can look forward to seeing Ding Yuxi at the QQ Music Taihai Peak Music Festival in Huzhou on September 5.
